skill map
an engineer’s own record of the concepts they understand and the things they have done, each with the evidence behind it. the engineer sees it before any company does.
a skill map is built once, from a mapping, and reused across companies. for a new role only the concepts it hasn’t covered are asked, in a short role check.
it is the engineer-side view of the same evidence a founder sees on an evidence card, organised by concept instead of by role.
